Brough South Liaison Committee’s September meeting

Due to the continued restrictions, the next meeting of the Brough South Liaison Committee will take place on Monday 7th September via Zoom at 7pm. Members of the public are invited to join the meeting and will be allowed to ask questions when invited to do so by the Chair.  If you would like to join the meeting, then please ask pre-register by emailing al@horncastlegroup.com and you will be issued with a link on the morning of the meeting.

Work starts to refurbish city’s oldest boxing club as fund raise continues

A major refurbishment project has got underway to modernise a Hull boxing gym that played an integral role in Luke Campbell’s Olympic success. With more than 400 members – a quarter of them female – St Paul’s Boxing Academy is the largest boxing gym outside London and is the oldest club in Hull, having started in 1948. Brough Relief Road phase three granted planning consent

The third and final phase of the Brough Relief Road has been granted planning permission, with work forecast to start on the project in June this year. The road will ease town-centre congestion by linking Skillings Lane with Moor Road, meaning traffic from the Humber Enterprise Park on Saltsground Road will no longer be confined to the current town centre route once it is completed in spring 2021. Online ceremony to welcome Andrew as new High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire

East Yorkshire’s latest High Sheriff has been sworn in – in a very unusual ceremony. Andrew Horncastle MBE took over as High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire from Sue Stephenson on Thursday 9th April in a ceremony conducted over video conferencing software Zoom. Plans submitted for Aldi store at Brough South

A planning application to bring an Aldi store to the Brough South development has been submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The supermarket will be located on the south of Bluebird Way, opposite South Hunsley Primary at the entrance of the retail, leisure and commercial zone of the project. Today Andrew met Her Majesty, The Queen

It was a very special day for our Chairman, Andrew Horncastle, today as he received his MBE for services to charity and business in the community in East Yorkshire from Her Majesty, The Queen. The investiture was held at Buckingham Palace this morning and it was a very proud moment for Andrew and his family. We are all immensely proud of Andrew and all the good work he does in the region. Thank you Andrew and long may it continue.

Horncastle Group were delighted to continue their support of the HDM Business Awards in 2019 by once again jointly sponsoring Start-up Business of the Year with MKM Building Supplies.
